About festival

This year’s festival is leaning on the well-known Sun Ra motive of ROCKET #9. After nine or ten years of working on this event, we see the diverse program as an intense meeting point of people who are witnessing amazing musical moments and situations come to life and then disappear for ever in aether. Kind of like a rocket taking off, launched into the air never to come back.

Literally, symbolically and otherwise, we will investigate this notion together with artist guests and the audience, as part of the final multi-event at the remote and beautiful location of ITS-Z1, through concerts, Soundscapes DJ sets, onsite cooking, Tagtool drawing projections and the actual launch of the Rocket #9 which will be built by Boris Hoppek, the Artist in Residence of the festival this year.
